What is included with the trip fee? What is not?
Included: Transportation and flights once you are on the ground in our initial destination (from the airport to our hotel, to our activities and events, and between cities as needed), most meals/food (as indicated in the tour itinerary), hotel/sleeping arrangements, daily activities, and entrance fees.
Excluded: Flights to and from our hub airport, some meals/food, alcohol, visa fees, travel insurance, personal medications, incidental purchases (souvenirs, personal items, etc.), and tips for your guide.
Do I have to get travel insurance?
Travel insurance is required for all travelers in case of emergencies, sickness, or changed travel plans. We require proof of travel insurance to travel.
How many guests are on each trip?
We cap our trips at 12 guests so that we can focus on creating a personal and meaningful experiences. Enough new friends that you can get to know people and have travel buddies while you’re abroad, but not so many that we need lanyards to keep track of each other (we don’t do tour bus lanyards here!)
What is the rooming situation? Who do I share a room with?
You can indicate a desire to share a room with your travel buddy if you have one on our pre-travel questionnaire. Otherwise, you will be assigned a roommate based on your pre-travel questionnaire. Some of our travel destinations do not easily accommodate double rooms and you will be assigned a private room – this is indicated on a tour by tour basis when you book the trip.
How does payment work?
We accept credit cards through our website. A $500 minimum deposit is required to book, though we accept 50% payments or full payments as well. All tour fees must be paid in full 90 days before travel. For any payment plans purchased, additional invoices will be sent out as needed. All bookings have a $500 non-refundable planning fee as we book things well before you travel.
I need to cancel my trip. Can I get a refund?
We charge a non-refundable $500 booking fee to book. 90+ days before the trip, all other trip payments are refundable in the case that you need to cancel. After 90 days before the trip, 50% of the fee is non-refundable. 60 days before the trip, the tour fee is fully non-refundable.
